Ruthie and Garrett’s wedding in Chelan, Washington, was a truly exclusive event, marking one of the first weddings in the new building at Milestone Events at Rocky Pond Winery. Nestled in the heart of Columbia Valley wine country, along the Columbia River between Chelan and Wenatchee, this venue is a privileged host to exceptional destination weddings. And we felt lucky to be one of the first to photograph a wedding using the new design.
Modern Meets Vineyard
The modern architectural design of the buildings across the estate at Rocky Pond Winery complemented the romantic vineyards surrounding it. Walled in glass, the main building looks out over the grounds. This building also has a kitchen for the catering team. On one side, looking out over the property is a porch with intimate spots for people to gather during cocktail hour and reception.
Additional Features
At Rocky Pond Winery, every detail has been meticulously designed with your comfort and convenience in mind. The getting-ready cottage for the bridal party is a haven of mirrors, complete with a bar and stools for makeup and hair. A special area for the bride to get dressed, reminiscent of a boutique fitting room, features three mirrors to capture every angle. A curtain provides privacy, and there’s plenty of space to change. These thoughtful touches designed to make your experience at Rocky Pond Winery catered to your needs.
For the men or second party, an ultra-modern building with a stage that can later be converted into an area for dancing, sits at the bottom of the property. There is plenty of shade and air conditioning to keep people cool on hot Chelan days.
Ceremony set up
As if all of that wasn’t enough, the ceremony is in a cascading amphitheater. At the top through carefully curated double doors, the bride makes a grand entrance. Behind the altar, there is a great view of the mountains. The event team was on top of the transition and removed back rows of empty seats to give Ruthie and Garrett a more full feeling to the ceremony.
Portraits in the Vines
One of the most enchanting aspects of Milestone Events at Rocky Pond Winery is the manicured grounds. They seamlessly blend into stunning vineyards, with the majestic mountains of Chelan in the distance. We took sunset portraits amongst the vines, capturing the natural beauty without disturbing it. We also ventured to a nearby landing strip for small planes and took epic portrait shots of the sunset. These are the shots that truly capture the enchantment of this venue.
We felt really lucky to be among the first for this exquisite venue! The design of the estate anticipates so many needs of wedding couples. And, it provides an amazing experience with Milestone Events at Rocky Pond Winery.
