Lauren and Sandy met me at Carkeek Park in Seattle for their engagement session early this summer. These two have easy-going energy about them that makes photographing them pretty dang easy.
After a few quick moments together I realized that these two were my kind of people. Lauren, being a fellow cat lover (we’ll pray for you Sandy), and both of them know their wine. Hence why they are getting married at JM Cellars here in Woodinville, Washington, but I digress.
Claiming to be awkward and need help in front of the camera, we started with some fun easy walking and talking and shooting style images. I swear if I had a nickel for every time someone told me they “were bad at taking photos” I literally would not have to be a photographer anymore.
Lauren chose the BEST colors for the time of year we were shooting in. Her gorgeous, laid back wrap dress was the perfect shade of burnt orange that was complemented by the fall shifting foliage at the park. Add some cute flippies and this was one of my favorite outfits I’ve seen all season.
Lauren and Sandy were willing to get silly and romantic throughout their shoot. I had them dance, sway, shoulder bump each other and so much more. Thank you guys for spending an evening out with me, getting weird, and hosting great conversation. I cannot wait to celebrate with you this summer!
