Jo & Austin’s Love Story
Their story began in 2016 at the Watershed music festival, where they were introduced by mutual friends and instantly hit it off. In an era where so many love stories originate online, it’s refreshing to hear about a connection that blossomed so naturally. By 2018, they no longer had to endure the trials of long-distance love and were able to fully embrace life’s adventures together, including travel and moving in together. During our photo session, it was abundantly clear that they shared a deep bond of laughter, using humor as a powerful tool to navigate life’s challenges.
Seattle Engagement Session at Fairmont Olympic Hotel
It’s fun with any photoshoot to throw in a few moments out of the norm. With Jo and Austin, we met at Fairmont Olympic Hotel and were able to get some images of them sharing a glass of red wine–their mutual drink of choice. Capturing these semi-posed but mostly natural moments will give you not only pretty poses to look back on but a familiar experience romanticized in candids.
Rooftop Engagement Session
Afterwards, we made our way to a parking garage rooftop to get some fun, epic photos that were a little more posed. I love this parking garage because the architecture that surrounds it is so beautiful. Plus, the light doesn’t hurt either. I made sure to snag both digital and film photos as I love adding these to every session to give a sense of nostalgia and romance.
