While the ultimate goal when photographing couples is for them to look at the photos and feel empowered and excited, that doesn’t always happen. Not loving your photos happens and when it does, it can be uncomfortable navigating how to handle telling your photographer.
Although it may be uncomfortable, it’s always important to speak up and be vocal so that your photographer can do what’s within their power to fix them. So, here’s how to do just that!
BE DIRECT
Being direct and not beating around the bush is key. Be completely up front with your photographer about what it is you do not like about your photos. Clear communication like this can help you to get to a resolution quicker!
TALK TO YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER
Meet up with your photographer or schedule a call with your photographer in advance. Get on the same page as your photographer and talk to them. They will understand and want to help you. Don’t be afraid to talk to them about this. I know it can definitely be nerve-wracking but we only want the best for you!
GIVE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER A CHANCE
If you happen to not like your photos, don’t just forget about it or try to hire someone else. Although in your eyes it might be easier it isn’t. It’ll only make it more difficult for you. Give your photographer a chance for redemption. More than likely they can fix up the photos for you just the way you want!
Overall, do not stress! It happens and when it does it’s usually just miscommunication. Your photographer is your friend and want’s you to treasure your photos!
